1.) beautiful little toy

We plan on buyibg this as a gift for others. My son has fun using this toy as a rattle and pushing it. The rainbow colors are beautiful to look at as it rolls. I have seen 3 year olds that have had a lot of fun pushing this toy back and forth. if you get this for your baby, s/he will have years of fun with this.

This has been my son's favorite toy since he was four months old. I didn't think he'd be as facsinated by it as he is, but he loves rolling it, shaking it, and especially teething on it. This toy has encouraged him to reach and play cooperatively by passing the toy to mommy. As for durability, it has been drenched with drool and dropped on the floor every day for four months. The toy may be small for some babies, but for younger infants, it is the perfect size. If it were any bigger, I think he would have difficulty holding it. My only complaint is that when it rolls away and no one is there to roll it back, he cries.

I bought this toy for my son when he was only 3 months old. He is 12 months now. This is still one of the toys that will capture his eye immediately. This product has good quality. It is a toy that can encourage my son to roll it and crawl after it after he was 7 month.

This is a beautiful baby toy, really well made and elegant in it's simplicity. It's a little hard for my 5 month old to grasp but he loves the sound and I imagine will enjoy playing with it as he becomes more mobile and can watch it roll. Please note it's quite small but I'm very pleased with it.

This is a very good toy that has yet to fail us. Keeps the kid entertained in the car and in the baby jail. There is no indication of a defect like some other reviews suggest. Best thing to do is check the item thoroughly when you get it and return it for another if there's a problem. Makes sense to me ...

6.) Great for tiny hands

My son received this from our registry for Christmas. I was surprised at the size. I thought it was going to be bigger, but it is the perfect size for little hands to grasp. He was 2 months old at the time, so he didn't show much interest right away, but a few months later, this became a favorite of his to play with. Now he is 8 months old, and he loves to hold it with one hand and shake it and pass it to the other hand. We also roll it back and forth to each other. I turn it and point to the colors and tell him what they are. Plan Toys is such a great company. I feel completely safe when I see him gnawing on it, knowing it is non-toxic and eco-friendly. We haven't had any problems with durability. Will definitely buy more Plan Toys in the future.

7.) Small but fun

Our son started playing with my husband's toy car (metal, with moving parts, not appropriate for baby), so we ordered this toy as a substitute. It's great - very colorful with a ball inside so it makes noise as it rolls. The ball also helps to make the toy roll smoothly across a flat surface.

My only quibble is that the toy is about the size of a plum. From the picture I expected something larger, so I was pretty shocked at this tiny little thing that came out of the box. however, our son can get his hands around it, and it rolls really well, and he likes it. So the size is not that important - as long as we keep our eyes on it. That thing could go missing under the sofa in nothing flat!

I was initially disappointed by the size of the roller (I thought it would be much bigger). However, it's the perfect size for little hands. At 11 months, my little guy still loves throwing it and crawling after it as it rolls across the floor. Considering the amount of times he's thrown it against our hard wood floors (and the fact that there is no damage to it), I would say that this product is extremely durable and well made. All in all, a good buy.

Yes, this is small. But it is meant for young babies so it is appropriate. My daughter likes to bat it around. I have used it for hand/eye coordination. I roll it back and forth and she watches. She grabs at it when I send it her way. I also use it to show her the colors - red, blue, yellow, green, orange and purple. So it's educational and fun. The wooden ball inside adds a nice sound when its rolling. A good first baby toy.

Toy is Ok...much, much smaller than it looked in the picture...no dimensions. It is smaller than a baseball. We thought it would be somewhat larger.

11.) WARNING - COMES APART

I love the idea of this simple toy for babies, but was horrified when mine fell apart during its first day of use. The six side pieces and ball present serious choking hazards when the toy doesn't stay together. We were able to repair it with some gorilla glue, but buyer beware!
