My son recently received a Power Wheels jeep that had been in use for over 3 years before he got it. The batteries had not been charged as specified in the instructions, and they died shortly after he started using it. The jeep couldn't run on concrete, much less on grass.

I replaced both existing batteries with these, which incidentally are a different colour from the picture, and the jeep now runs fine on most surfaces.

It requires 18 hours charging time before you can use the batteries, so be prepared for some impatience before the vehicle can actually be used. You have to charge them after each use, and also once a month if the vehicle is not in use, at 16 hours each time.

Tech support from Fisher Price is non-existent in my part of the world, where 800 numbers are not accessible, because their site doesn't have a customer service or tech support e-mail address listed. I needed important information, because I learned that the model I have was recalled for electrical problems, and I wanted to see exactly which parts needed to be fixed to solve the problem.

I'm sure that these batteries will last a long time with proper care, but wish the tech support was better

I bought this battery to have on hand for when my daughter ran the other one that came with her barbie jazzy jeep out. It's working out really well and it's sure nice not hearing her nagging about her battery dying and not wanting to wait for it to recharge.

We got my daughter's Barbie Power Wheels second-hand from a friend, but the battery didn't hold up. This is the exact same battery that came with the 4-wheeler originally, so it works great!

We received the Harley Motorcycle Power Wheels as a hand-me-down item. The batteries that came with our toy no longer had any life in them and no longer worked at all. I came to Amazon and found these batteries. My Harley requires the two 6 volt batteries pictured. I ordered two and the vehicle works beautifully now. My kids can't get enough of it. I felt the need to comment because one previous reviewer indicated that this battery did not work in her Harley toy. It works perfectly in ours. Did Fisher Price put out two types of Harley Power Wheels? I don't know, but I know that if you are careful to look at the pictures here and compare them with the toy you have at your house, you can see that they match. I'm a happy Harley owner and this battery works at my house.

My only issue is that my vehicle runs beautifully for a long while and then it seems to need a rest. It slows down to a crawl and seems to be out of life. To most of us, that would indicate that it needs to be recharged. Yet when my children get off of it for the night and come back to it the next day, it goes again for a good lenght of time - although not as long as the previous day. After the second day of use, it does need to be recharged. I only mention this because I'm under the impression that this type of battery needs to be fully empty of a charge before being put on the charger in order to prolong the life of the battery. Could just be my older Power Wheels because I have no experience with a brand new machine.

Still, I'm totally happy with my purchase.

The kids love the ride on toys, and Walmart charges an arm and a leg for these. I found this on sale for under $12 shipped and bought a few. Brand new, and runs great.

We have a battery powered ride on toy that requires 2 of these batteries. The two that came with the toy lasted for 5 years. We purchased 2 more this year so that our daughter could enjoy the ride hopefully for another 5 years. I contacted the seller for help and they were quick to respond and had the best price that I could find. They shipped quick and the item arrived in a well packaged manner. I'd buy again from this seller in a heartbeat. Thanx

Original 6 volt Power Wheels battery. Durable and includes built in fuse to protect the battery and Power Wheels from overheating and catching fire. There are some alternatives to the original batteries, some of which can be less expensive. But that means you have to add your own fuse to the battery. The only reason to use batteries other than these factory ones is if you plan to modify your powerwheels to go faster using other batteries (i.e. running 18 volts into the 12 volt powerwheels system). Google it if you want more info. Otherwise, if you're not handy nor interested in modding your powerwheels, then this is the battery you're looking for.

The battery was just want we wanted and needed for the Ford pickup power wheels toy. But the charger that we needed for this battery was not the correct charger shown as a link on the same page as the battery. Which created a very unpleasant & costly experience.

After many failed attempts to find the right charger for the lil' quad, I finally came across a website to get the right one. Go to 1-800-sunbeam.com. It is the type A for the toddler series. Hope this helps some of you.

We bought this battery a long time ago when our old battery died on us. Easy to install... did it myself without any help from my husband. It has endured many trips around the yard in my daughter's Barbie jeep. It's been a great product.

It says you need to charge at least 18 hours before you can use it.
When I plugged it into charger it said like it is charged already, same effect with second battery.
Strange...

As well I cant understand why it says you need to charge before every new drive,
it should contain memory and based on its ni nature it is better to uncharge 100% before starting new charge at least 3 times.

The batteries work well, I had to change the connector because we have a different connector on our car. Voided the warranty damn the luck:). The shipping was free and the battery cost each $10 dollars less than what I could get locally.

Let me first state, the picture for this product is the newer fixed battery, which was replaced for certain power wheels based on a lawsuit in which a child was severely burned.

My warning is to make sure your old power wheels are not using the older batteries. the new battery as pictured has a thick black battery connector, the old ones where white and much smaller.


In my case, the barbie power wheels were recalled some time ago. A neighbor gave me their child's old one, whose batteries were from 1995. I took the 1995 batteries to a local authorized dealer, and he immediately said you will need to exchange the batteries and charger due to a recall.

Long story short, you are buying the newer, fixed batteries, which may not fit your old charger. If this is the case, I suggest you find an authorized dealer and have them replaced (batteries are not replaced for free)

Nothing against Fisher Price, we have enjoyed their toys for years. I was extremely frustrated by my purchase however. We were trying to get a Power Wheels unit working again this spring after the winter. We weren't sure but felt it was the battery so we purchased a new one. As it turns out, it wasn't. The battery was brand new and Amazon said it would be too dangerous for them to allow us to return the product. SO, before you purchase from them be sure this is the issue otherwise you will be stuck with it. I'm sure it was in their fine print somewhere, but they refused to point it out to me.

This toy battery does not fit all Fisher Price riding toys even if the picture looks like it is exactly the same. Verify the battery amps NOT just volts by calling the Fisher Price toll free telephone number. Fisher Price customer service representive will be able to assist you with a local purchase option. Amazon will not accept a return if it is incorrect for "safety reasons". Verify and re-verify before purchasing.

There was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to buy this battery other than THIS WEBSITE promoted it to be needed in the long run for this toy. The battery that was delivered WAS NOT compatible with the product we bought and the return AND delivery was and is a nightmare. When Toys R Us was contacted they admitted that you did NOT need this EXTRA battery and MANY MANY times the battery shipped is NOT compatible with the toy. (...)

Purchased this extra battery for a toy and yes, it is 6volt, but the wrong size 6 volt. I searched specifically by the toy I purchased and this popped up. Be very careful when ordering batteries for toys. Battery listed was not what I received.

Like other people that bought the batteries....It was not the same battery and I am out 73.00!! There is no way to return it and I hope anyone else thinks twice before they buy off of here. You are better off paying the little bit extra to get what you need.

The battery that was recommended was not needed. Besides, there was a shipping cost, so it was pointless to send it back. The 12 volt battery that is in the very cute car is weak, and at this time, we have not been able to find a replacement. If you buy the Corvette, do not buy the 6 volt battery.
