This is a great bike. I have a child care and all the kids from 1 1/2 to 3 years old love it. It's really durable as well as cute and bright. They love to put stuff in the seat. It's light enough so that they can take it wherever they want. It's a lot cuter than it looks in the picture. Glad I bought them.

I bought this for my best friend's 2 year old. HE LOVES IT! We barely could get it put together, he was so excited, he kept playing with the parts. The second it was put together he jumped right on it. When we took it outside, the neighbor's daughter (also 2 years old) also had to ride it. He still rides it daily, a month and a half later. I was so impressed with the kids' response I went ahead and ordered one for my child to have for once she is 2 (she is only 4 months old)

I picked this up for my daughter who's a big Dora and Diego fan, but was definitly more into Diego at that time. I do wish now I had gotten Dora, but she does like this enough. The seat lifts up to stow away, which basically gets filled up with dirt and outdoors stuff pretty quick! The stickers were bright and easy to apply and the bike itself it pretty durable and tough for a toddler! It's still a little hard for her to reach the peddles though, it would have been perfect if they had been a few inches closer, and she's a tall 2 1/2 year old!

My older kid had this toy and the little one wanted so much the same so I decided to buy exactly the same toy. I went to Target and Toys are us and I could not find it. Good there is Amazon where I order it.

The trike is robust and well made. My 2 year old has not been able to reach the pedals, however, he still finds a way to ride his trike by pushing with his legs and of course he will grow into it.

We bought 2 of these for our 2 and 3 year olds for Easter. They were a HUGE hit!! The kids have ridden them every day since. My husband and sons had no problem putting them together. Our average size 3 yr old can ride easily with pedals, the 2 year old can't reach yet but can keep up with his older brother "Fred Flintstone style". They love the storage spot in the seat - lots of little treasures can be found there! The trikes seem durable (and with 5 boys and a girl older than these 2 I have seen toys that don't last), only problem is that the stickers did start peeling almost right away. Since my kids are no big diego fans this was not an issue for us. Bottom line: great toy for burning off excess boy energy!!!

This is an excellent trike. However, something you have to factor in is the very long reach to the pedals. The manufacture lists this trike for 2-5 years. I have one of these for my son and daughter (1.5 and 3) . Neither can reach the pedals yet (My daughter can just now put her feet on them but the distance is still to far to pedal). However, neither really grasp the idea of pedaling yet. What is nice is that the long distance between the seat and pedals allows for them to really get going with their legs pushing.

These are really easy to put together but they do require a screwdriver and a hammer (bang the hubcaps on the axel).

We have had one of these for 1 year and the other for a little over 1 month. Both our kids absolutely love pushing themselves around with their feet. There has been no problem with either one and our kids like to run into curbs and jump off of curbs. A very tough and nice product. But be aware they won't be pedaling until around 4 years old because of the long reach.

Pros:
Easy Assembly
Tough Construction
Long Reach to the Pedals (Allows for walking without hitting the pedals) and will allow a 5 year old to still pedal
A blast for my kids

Cons:
Long Reach to the Pedals (My 3 year old still does not really grasp pedaling yet so this is still not really a con for me. However, my kids are both tall. Shorter children will have a tough time reaching the pedals.)

I bought this for my 34 month old daughter. She loves Diego!!! It was fairly easy to put together, the handle bar was the hardest. One of the screw holes was bigger than the screw so we had to replace it with another screw. She isn't impressed with the key, but really likes the storage.

My daughter is about 37 inches tall and her feet do touch the pedals, but not enough to pedal easily.

We haven't had this very long, but it seems safe and that is the best thing about this trike.

My almost 2 year old really likes this trike, but it's very sad that he can't reach the pedals yet. Even with something like a pillow stuffed behind him so he's closer, a child needs an inseam about 14 or 15" before they can pedal easily.

This tricycle is inexpensive and great for a first tricycle. It does not tip over easily and gives the toddler the idea of how to steer and to pedal. Overall a good buy.---and it will not rust!!!

This is a really durable tricycle that your child will love playing with especially putting items in the seat and all. But unfortunately they won't be able to ride it until they are about three or four unless they are extremely tall. I bought the tricycle for my son when he was 15 months old he enjoys it very much, he puts his toys, books, sand and pebbles in the seat but he still cannot reach the pedals and he is now 27 months old and three feet tall. He has to move his feet as if he is walking to ride it and that becomes very tiring for him especially when I carry him for rides in the neighborhood. One of my neighbors grandchild has the same trike and he is having the same problem he just turned 3 and still can't reach the pedals.
By the way, if you do buy one and start to lose little items around the house my advice is to take a look in the seat every now and again.

As advertised. He likes the compartment under the seat. He doesn't pedal yet, not quite big enough, but he walks and steers it.
Assembles ok, especially if you have done similiar before. We're happy with it.

My son fell in love with this trike at a neighbor's house, so we decided to get him one of his own. It was a bit tricky to put together, as other reviewers have noted, but no more than other assemble-yourself toys. I like that you apply the stickers yourself, so you can choose to put Diego on the bike or not. We opted to put the "lights" stickers on but not Diego, which creates a more gender-neutral look. My son is 3 feet tall and his feet just barely touch the pedals, so you may want to measure your child before you purchase this bike.

Our boy is only 21 months, but is over 3 feet (near 3.5 ft) and 37 pounds, so is the size of many 4 year olds. By rights I'd think he should be able to use the Diego Tough trike, but the peddles are just too far away. Granted, he is longer in back and that does make up for some of his height. He sits on it sometimes, but has been unable to get any real use out of it yet. I'm sure he'll like it a lot after his legs grow a few more inches. It was pretty easy to put together, no real issues there. However, the stickers come off pretty easily. I wish it were as durable as the toys made 20+ years ago. Just seems like it wouldn't take much for the rear tires to break off the back of the plastic seat. I was able to get it on sale for $20 shipped via Amazon, so at that price it will be well worth it once he can use it properly.

One more thing since my original post. Our boy loves to pull off the blue seat. It is super easy to do so and super annoying, because he wants us to keep putting it back on. Thinking of drilling some holes and wiring it in place.

Sturdy, well made toy. The only thing I would change would be
that the decals were pre-installed, instead of having grandma
trying on Christmas day to stick them in the right place
while grandson is trying to ride the trike.

My son received this trike for his 2nd birthday. Although he didn't know how to peddle a bike he had fun just pushing himself on it using his feet. It's a durable trike for sure, for we have had the bike for over a year now. It's a little plain compared to the trikes they are making now with lights and sounds (Which we had purchased for his 3rd Birthday). I would recomment this bike over the lights and sounds any day. You child may love the different things the lights and sounds does but it's poorly made. Over all I would give this trike 4 stars! Great little durable trike!

I would have given this item 5 stars if my 2 year old son could actually pedal it. At 36 inches you would think he would be able to touch the pedals, but they are a very long way off. I am afraid that he will actually outgrow the trike before he is able to pedal it. That being said, it is really cute, and he does just push it around with his feet.......but that defeats the purpuse of buying a pedal toy.

Like others, my kid is 2 and can't reach the pedals. The trike is difficult to turn. My kid scoots the trike around till he reaches the direction he wants to move in. It is only 20 bucks but I just kind of thought that the toy would do more than a hot wheels car seeing as it is an active play toy, at least that is what I thought a trike was. Wrong again.

My 2 year old and my 3 year old like using this trike. They really like storing small toys under the seat. However, the wheels have no traction on the floor in the kitchen or on carpet at all. So they really cannot use it as a trike with pedals and just move it by walking their feet.

I'm so dissapointed with this trike. Assembly took me 2 hrs, the screw are so tight and the instruction is not clear enough. I bought this for my 26 month old son and he's around 35" tall. He can touch the padal but can't ride on it, so he just ride it like a car. He flip over and fell on the floor every time he get out of the bike and that scared him. He stopped riding the bike after 5 mins. I also pretend to try seating on the bike but found the seat is very uncomfortable as it is not flat and it's quite narrow. I need to return it and buy a better one.
